If you are a skilled specialist in email services, email security, and data migration products, then this may be the opportunity for you.  As a Support Engineer for Email Services, you will implement and support email-related services for Partners, Customers, and Vendors.

Success in this role depends mainly on your technical ability to manage and troubleshoot mail flow, but you will also be an excellent planner, who pays great attention to detail and demonstrates a good practical business savvy.  As a versatile data migration technical problem solver and solutionist, you will manage multiple projects with diverse project timelines simultaneously. 

Because you understand vendor documentation at a granular level and maintain product training, you will be Tarsus on Demand’s subject matter expert in Office 365 support.  You will be responsible for handling all escalations for on-premise mail environments and Office365, as well as for Office365 migration management – risks identified during migration processes will all be positively mitigated and migrations successfully and timeously concluded.  In implementing and supporting Mimecast in client environments you will make sure that requests for support, changes, and adaptations are effectively addressed.  The excellent vendor relationships you have established and maintained will ensure that vendor support is involved early on where necessary, and that vendors see you as their trusted advisor. 

Ultimately, you will be acknowledged as a technical master of email environments and a trusted guide to Business Development and Product Managers, while also being a valuable mentor to First Line support.

  • 2+ years experience in mail flow management and troubleshooting
  • BitTitan, Office365, and Teams specialist
  • Established Mimecast technical specialist
  • Up to date with product updates and training
  • Constantly be alert to and aware of potential security threats
  • Good understanding of basic PowerShell commands
  • Thorough understanding of mail and exchange servers
  • 2+ years experience in vendor support
  • Based in JHB

Work from Home Technical Requirements (if and when applicable): 

  • Computer hardware and software will be provided by the company 
  • Applicants must supply their own Internet connectivity 
  • Applicants are responsible for creating a functional workspace at home 

Internet Service Requirements 

  • Internet access provided by a fiber provider 
  • DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband is NOT ideal 
  • Minimum upload speed of 5 MBPS 
  • Minimum download speed of 10 MBPS
