Tarsus On Demand has been appointed as an AWS Distributor and is looking for an AWS solution architect and subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and hands-on experience with AWS services.  The Solutions Architect will work closely with clients and internal teams such as sales to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.

You will be working with clients to understand their business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and assist clients to optimise the performance of their AWS services to ensure efficient and cost-effective solutions.  You will also conduct security assessments, provide recommendations for enhancing the security posture of cloud solutions, and implement best practices for security and compliance in AWS environments.

Experience, Qualifications, Skills, and Other Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with a focus on AWS services. Experience with other Hyper-scales will be beneficial
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in AWS environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Skills:

• AWS Services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Networking: VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect.
• Security: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management Service (KMS), Security Groups, Network ACLs.
• Monitoring and Logging: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK stack.
• DevOps: Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud architecture and AWS solutions.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex cloud solutions
